Mission Statement:
The Neighborhood Service Center's mission is to improve the quality of life both socially and economically for low income residents of Talbot County.

The Neighborhood Service Center was founded in the year of 1969 by Dorothy Webb Black, who also served as its first Executive Director, and whose vision of compassion was to establish a permanent agency that would provide counseling and consulting services, as well as assistance for food, clothing, and shelter to the needy citizens of Talbot County. Since its creation, the organization has become the official county anti-poverty agency.

We are a 501 C3 non profit agency located in Easton, Maryland that allocates state and federal funding as well as local government funding and private donations to assist those less fortunate. We are dedicated to providing information and assistance in the areas of housing, enrichment programs for the youth, and preventive services. We also service the community as an informational and referral agent for the economically disadvantaged. We are committed to "Lending a Helping Hand" to those in need.
